It's far easier to overtrain in running instead of lifting weights. Because with lifting weights the biggest part of recovery is eating lots of food and rest. You only train certain movements once, maybe twice a week max.
With running the body never has a chance to run. It's just nonstop every single day pounding on the knees. It lowers testosterone which is bad. That can cause erectile dysfunction, loss of muscle and bone mass, energy and drive, accelerated aging, etc.
You clearly have no idea about working out. With lifting weights you’re lifting much more than once a week per body part. Unless you’re talking about bro workouts where you’re working out chest for two hours, taking anabolic and androgenics, doing no cardio, and dying early decades too early like:
Sonny Schmidt
Paul DeMayo
Andreas Munzer
Mike Mentzer
Mike Matarazzo
Dallas McCarver
Greg Kovacs
Like Wood
Mono Benaziza
Terri Harris
Vince Comerford
Art Atwood
Frannie Barrios
Ron Teufel
Frank Hildebrand
Ray Mentzer
Nasser el Sonbaty
Ed Kawak
Don Youngblood
And hundreds more
