Hutchings is just make up stuff about the women's 100. Asher SMith never gave up the lead.

Sure, and it had nothing to do with Centro being able to run very fast in the last 800m of a 1500m race. In an interview once he said his 400m dash is only 49 or 50s, the interviewer was completely confused, but he added "but I can close a mile in 1:51, I guess that's quite good". Sure, he ran the shortest way and was the tactical mastermind in that race, but being able to close a 1500 in 1:51 is still fantastic despite the first 700 being run at his 8k pace, aka no effort.
You're wasting your breath. You're dealing with 5 minute milers on this board- no concept of what championship racing is about.
Yeah, I'm an idiot for enjoying a 3:27 more than a 3:50.

The first 2 laps in RIO were at his 8k pace. That doesn't cause any fatigue for him.
Where did you get that number from?
The 800m in Rio were at 2:16.7. That's 2:51/k pace.
He ran 5000m in 13:20 - 2:40/k and
10k in 30:05 - 3:00/k.
So the first 800m in Rio were between his 5k and 10k pace, around 8k pace. The 2:51/k in the first 800m are really not a big effort for someone used to average 2:20/k-2:25/k in most 1500/mile races.
I am a huge fan of both Andre DeGrasse and Jereem Richards for what happened in two separate 200's the last few years. That iconic footage of Bolt v Andre in a semi looking across at each other at speed and Jereem winning a Comm games title when the Brit elbowed him from cruising past him and getting dq'ed.
Chelimo'd.
Class move by Wale.

Will they PLEASE DQ Wale
That just can't happen, it was so blatant. He won't over a whole lane and a half in the last 15 meters.

So a guy who didn't even make it to the NCAA finals was in the DL 400 final?
Jonathan Sacoor of Tennesee. Admittedly 2018 world junior champ Jonathan Sacoor of Belgium is pretty good however. He ran 45.03 last year before getting to Tennessee but only 46.22 for Tennessee. He was 7th in 45.72 tonight.
It's worth nothing than ran another 400 just before the tv window started.
if you have noticed in both Zurich and Belgium they have given the host country a spot in most of the events. I assume they are not counted for prize money purposes.
Rio 2016 1500m was a masterful display of the tactical art that Centro had developed over many years and close runs at the top level. One of the top 1500 all-time, rejected by the ignorant as a "High school time".
19.69 without the socks.
I started a different thread about the steeple DQ or no DQ.
Are these announcers watching the same races I am? Hutching was complaining about the pace in the steeple and how slow it was. I was like, they are going to run 805-6 which is basically all of their SBs.
In the 200, they were saying how well Lyles was running on the bend and meanwhile he was losing coming off the turn.

They seem to let people from the Host Country (Who did not qualify) into the Meet.
Lyles 19.73, still pretty fast in these conditions. Giluyev and De Grasse looked really good coming in 2-3. The sprint times are going to be relatively slow today.
The temperatures fantastic for distance running, but hopefully the rain doesn't pick up too much. I'd really like to see a fast women's 5k.
Who thought it was a good idea to get a woman who has run 4:14 this year to rabbit the 5000 through 1500 meters in 4:17. People can't run an even paced mile within 3 seconds of their PB. It's just idiotic.
She did a good job of looking at her watch but wasn't fit enough.

None of her PRs showed that she would be qualified to rabbit this race. They are saving money on the wrong end here.
Who is this "taking closer order" guy on Eurosport?

She was in agony her last few laps.
