You really think Kipchoge is 2 years younger than Farah? Or that he was 18 when he beat the two Great? We are not just talking about 1-2 years here, but MANY.

These times were set when he was still only 16. The 400m was as far as I remember in a youth championship where he did multiple runs (and he had never started from blocks before). The 800m was a tactical race as far as I understand.
But Jakob is probably already way faster on both distances and will most likely improve further in the coming year.

People forget he was the age 15 world record holder for 800m before Max Burgin broke it later in the season. I think he only ran one or two 800m since and as you say, the pb he set as a 16 year old was a tactical affair as well as on tired legs likely.

We believe J.I. is a teenager. Why doubt that Eliud Kipchoge was great as a teenager? Didn't I state to you a few hours ago how much solar radiation ages people who live between 15 north & 15 south latitude. Comparing Kipchoge's physical appearance to physical appearance of Mohammad Farah is an asinine comparison. You know Farah did not grow up under the intense sun between 15 north and 15 south latitude.

Eliud is the age which he must state; it was year that the cows dropped the calf during the full moon. All children of that year look older than age, except for Eban, who we know as liar since he can't remember dung beetle plague year .

Eliud Kipchoge is 54 years old. Haile Gebrselassie is 80 years old.

Haile is so old, his great-grandfather is named after him!

Jakob wasn´t setting WR in 800m at 15 but he was at 14. His WR at 14 was 1:52.60: This WR was broken by the American Brandon Miller 1 year later.

But Jakob still ran a world class time in the 800m at 15:

1:51.07.

In the article of Bluejay: "Jakob Ingebrigtsen future" there is a link to the video where JI breaks the 14 years WR in 800.

Running a fast marathon or 5k at 21 years old sounds more impressive than doing one at 26 years old. Some add a few years so they can compete abroad earlier, and some deduct a few to seem younger than they really are. Junior World Championships always confirm that.
Running fast marathons at high age is nothing new. Carlos Lopes won the Olympic marathon aged 37, and became the first person sub 2:08 aged 38. It's much more likely to believe that Kipchoge ran 2:01 at 39 years old than it is to believe that he destroyed both Bekele and El Guerrouj when he was 18. The training of El Guerrouj and Bekele was ridiculous and their racing experience incredible, no way a 18-year can just show up in Paris and beat them in a 5000m!
Kipchoge himself said in a LR interview that he was 19 in Paris, which is different than his official age. He likely was a few years older and just changed his age from 18 to 19 to appear more credible.

yes! the organisators can give wildcards for some events to promote national athletes. They not in the running for the diamond league final price moneys, however the results (and a lot of bonus points) counts for the world rankings! the last thing seems a bit unfair!
