If you watch the video, Max basically says that track and field is a fallback sport for people that are failed athletes and aren’t coordinated enough for other sports. This is obviously some bs so lets agree with each other in the comments. Discus

i think you posted the wrong link.
in the one you posted he's just saying some common sense stuff about track athletes.
Nerdy white jewish guy who loves Wu Tang clan and never did any sports himself mocks track athletes as failed ball sports.
(Font=sarcasm)Sounds like somebody who really has lots of interesting and unique ideas... (/font=sarcasm)
He is basically a short Jared Kushner without rich parents.
I'm not sure who is more obnoxious. Stephen A. Smith or Max Kellerman? As bad as Kellerman is Stephen A. Smith is probably the most obnoxious person on ESPN. He likes to say, "I'm not like this because I'm on TV, I'm on TV because I'm like this." Words to that effect. That's like those girls who used to wear t-shirts that said something like " Girl to bit*h in 10 seconds." they were proud to be bit*hes. Smith is proud to be an obnoxious loudmouth.
Let's see him try the pole vault.
we should all tweet at him and tell him he's a troll clown. Huge troll. Just talks out his bum to get reactions. Anyways, total disrespect for track.

soooo......you're going to invite him to Letsrun?
All decathletes could destroy any soccer.footballer.basketballer when it comes to being an athlete. Most sprinters also played another sport.
What hurts is watching 115 pound Kenyans with arms and legs about the same smallness run forever, Knowing that is all they can do.
Kellerman does know boxing.
As we all know none of those tv sports talk show guys can talk track, they know...0....about it. Same with football announcers it's.."he has world class speed"....for RGIII, when it's....no he doesn't. I've heard...."he ran a 10.7 100m in HS he has great speed"....ha!

Sigh...You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. Your comments about decathletes and Kenyans are part of the problem. Your comments about announcers are part of the solution.
I can’t wait until Kellerman reads this thread. He’s going to be so pissssssed! LOL
Long live "The Harlem Hammer" James Butler!
Ask sissy Kellerman about his sissy brother! LOL! ROFLMMFAO!

The average American doesn't understand sports.
People assume that every football player would be Usain Bolt fast.
It's true most track athletes can't make it in the NFL but most NFL players aren't fast enough for track.
Face it- if you had the choice between the two sports why pick a sport that's gonna turn your brain to mashed potatoes and make you a crippled old man when you're 40?
Americans are incredibly parochial (which would be o.k. if they were not also convinced to be the center and paradigm of the whole world). While it's obviously true that some selected football, basketball and soccer players would be very good in some track events (mostly sprints and jumps), there are also events like distance running, discus or high jump were this is less likely.
Furthermore, track and field is practiced all over the world. The preferred and most lucrative professional sports are rather different in different countries (for most of the world soccer dominates but the US and several other countries are exceptions to this). Still, this makes the talent pool for t&f huge because no matter of baseball, soccer or hockey is your national team sport, track will be practiced as well. Whereas there is very little baseball in Europe or hockey in Africa etc.

I bet if RGIII tried to run track he couldn't even walk on at a D1 school.
He only knows about tge 100. He said that trackbatgketes are dumb and they only use some fast twitch muscles. He doesn't even realize there are throws, jumps, dustance, and multis. Track is the largest participation sport in the US. Football is on the decline. Attend a USATF or AAU youth meet and you will see that there is a huge interest from parents and kids who also play plenty of basketball and football. Many choose track because they are so good at it. The ones who arent quite good enough end up falling back into football.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
