Lylesbtakes it in 9.98, 0.10 ahead of 4th-place Gatlin.
Xie 2nd, Blake 3rd
Dammit Simbine et all, all you had to do was beat 9.98

Looking controlled while fast to boot.
Glad KK nabbed second, surprised me because I don’t know her as a kicker.
Wow, how can Lyles put that big a gap over last 10 meters?
Lyles could now double 100/200 in Doha, correct?
Free-flowing fluidity, just like Lewis had.
Good showing by Xie, and excellent for Blake to have medaled.
I think some guys under-performed: Hughes, Gemili, and Simbine.
Gatlin seems to be on-track, he will be a medal threat at WC especially if CC isn’t there.

It is fast. End of story.
A LOT of EPO on that 5k starting line.
Hard to fathom that this will be the last DL 5K. Especially with some of the fantastic races they've hosted over the recent past. I hope this one is epic and they take back this stupid decision

He won't, he already said he is not interested in doing the double.
4:10 at 1600 for 5k, slowing a bit.
Halfway at about 13:05 pace, gap forming. This may not be as fast of a 5k as Rome.
Is something wrong with Kejelcha? He'll probably storm back right as I type this but the pace isn't that hot and he's way back.
3 of the favorites are sitting 12, 13, and 14th including Barrega & Kejelcha

Didn't they do the same thing in the 5k in Stockholm?
My pick to win it in contest, Cheptegei with a sizable lead. 4 laps to go.
it's happening
Barrega and Kejelcha moving together to chase down Cheptegei. 1K to go.
