2 lousy hundredths of a second out from predicting Emma's time??
Muhammad vs. McLaughlin they are 1 - 1 against each other this year. Tiebreaker today.

I wonder what KK will run at worlds, given that hassan has already said she is doing the longer double, muir hurt and Dibaba looking like she is injured as well (limping after that race), the race is relatively wide open. Houlihan being lightly raced means we may not know what to expect from her either.
Running 14:26 is good potential for a medal, but probably not gold with Hassan.
Anyone sub 4 this year could win the 1500, but it's also a tighter group at the front of the 1500 and a real chance of not medaling.
Stafford with her 6th national record of the year in 3:59:59, and 5th top 3 finish in a DL this year. Insane progress, and only 23. Congrats!!!
Under 60 seconds last lap is nothing special anymore, but the 1500m may be watered down in Doha.
Tokyo? That is another story indeed.
Syd wins it!
Mc Laughlin over Little and Muhammad impressively! 52.86
With McLaughlin's win, does that mean Little makes World's after her 4th at USA's? She is a medal threat for sure, if so...(I think so)
NOP cleaning up.
? to the haters.
C’mon Yomif!
not sure what USATF will do with the 400H wildcard situation, but they absolutely need to give the wildcard to McLaughlin (which would send shamier little to Doha) and leave kori carter at home. Carter has been hot garbage ever since that fluke win at worlds, and little just finished 2nd in the DL final and took down the recently crowned WR holder.
This is the 2nd time a US athlete qualified for Doha has received a "bye" into worlds with a diamond league win today. It would mean that Little is on the team as well as Brannon Kidder. USATF has to scramble.
Not a fan of all the negativity typically on these boards, but I am hoping Gatlin goes down here hard against Lyles. Zurich fans are getting an entertaining show both on the track and with the field events.

Hassan BIG!!, K.K. 2nd and a surprise in 3rd.
Are you really that surprised? She's been running fast this summer.
The surprise to me is thinking of Hassan as the old veteran.
Amos is super fit to be able to run that fast off a low 48 opening 400. I'd say he's the favorite still for WC.
Itchy Varria could jump 9 meters one day!
Yes Little deserves it...and I hope the right decision is made. I'm sure Kori Carter would be incredibly pissed, but 55.09 isn't cutting it. Little is 3rd or 4th this year in the world on balance.

Under 60 last lap in a 1500m may not be special, but Hassan ran 57.71 last lap in a 3:57 low race.
I think Lyles will beat Gatlin
Good call
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
