5,000m - Haile Bekele 12:51
Emma - 9:06
Hagos Gebrihiwot 12:41
Coburn 8:57 but loses to Chepkoech (I want her to beat the Russian's time of 8:58(I Believe Galkina) , Which would put her #2 on the NON African list, Behind Ruth Jebet (Who Was born in Kenya, but runs for Bahrain (Asia) Though Jebet's times may be annulled, if she is found to have used Performance Enhancing Drugs which she has been accused of and sat out this year because of it.
On another note Will The 5 and 10k runs remain in Future World Championships And Olympics, or will that be switched to 3k as well and if that happens will the NCAA go to the 3k instead of the 5 and 10k, if yes then Distance runners wanting to race will have
800
1500
3000
3000 Steeplechase
Marathon (and Maybe not in Globals but the Half Marathon)
I had heard (Probably on Letsrun) that they just wanted the 800 and 1500 to Remain, but were talked into keeping the 3000 and Steeplechase, This is not good, I like Tradition, keeping things the way they are.
Berega................12:55
Coburn................9:06
I think Emma as great as she is....is on the back 9 of her career.
I want to go back in time to the Bekele, Geb and Komen era
WOW, surprised this hasn't been locked!!! I got Kejelcha burning rubber and coming in 1st in 12:4x.
If Frerichs (is there a (non-African) steeplechaser with weaker flat distance times?) could run 9:00, Coburn can run sub 9. A problem could be that the Zurich race will again be insanely fast in the beginning (pacing goal 2:53 for 1k which is WR pace) and she might have to go for ca. 2:55-56 first k like at Prefontaine while 2:59 would be ideal and then be too tired in the second half to go sub 9.

I disagree she is "on the back 9 of her career."
From the LetsRun preview:
"
Coburn ran 9:04.90 at Pre, her second-fastest time ever, despite a mid-race fall. Since then, she has won her sixth straight US title [over 9:00.85 AR holder Frerichs - my add] and set a personal best of 4:04 in the 1500 meters. She’s fit.
Why the hype for Coburn? She isn't the American record holder.
She won't get 9
I think the 5k will be blazing. We've already had two races go sub 13, and now all the top guys are together with fast pacing duties and good weather around 73 degrees and 4mph wind during the race. I think there's a very real shot at sub 12:50 again this year. Kajelcha may be my favorite.
Will Frerichs be running? If not, why not?
Frerichs is not in the race. I mentioned her because she ran 9:00.85 in her best race for the US record. Coburn was better in any other race, has much better flat times and from this should have he ability for sub 9:00.
