I liked this meet- the team thing that we always talk about on letsrun.
The venue was great- they said 22K seats but it "felt" much bigger and was very close to full.
I liked the 4 entrants per team with scoring going 8 deep.
That might generate some interest in the US.
Find a stadium like that, fill it (with high school teams and their parents and general spectators).
Have 2 or 3 teams go at it.
I agree. Thought it was a pretty cool format. Straight up dual meet. And to be fair, it was Europes B team as well.
I'm a fan of watching track meets. I enjoy Jr HS dual meets as well as all levels of IAAF meets. The idea that the IAA F gathered these athlete to compete in this format was and is great.
I was entertained for 6 hours.
I'm sorry so many folks get no joy from watching T&F unless it's populated by potential WR breakers.
