Scratch that. Looks like Jakob is not on the start list.
Cheptegei will be close, as will chelimo and mcsweyn.

Great question. Given his fast 1500's as of late, I'd say mcsweyn will be a bit closer to the finish than butchart; but not by much. Wanders is at best a 13:10 man this season. Henrik and True ~ 13:12-13:15.
Is Gregson pacing? Seems odd that he's in a 5000, though I know his 1500s haven't been going great this year so far. Well, no disrespect to a 3:35, but he's been more mid-pack than usual it seems.

Probably pacing. He’s like 29 now and it seems like age is catching up to him a bit. Definitely not the top Aussie anymore.
Gregson and Tiernan are pacers

Not that great of a question - McSweyn should be the clear favorite of that group.

I think it is possible for all of these guys to go sub 13:10

Hope so. It will be a big achievement for him
Shame that Jakob is not starting, but excited to see how Cheptegei and Mburu do.
I hope Mcsweyn goes sub 13:00 but I'm not sure I'd bet on it, as he'd probabably need someone (Barega, Gebby, Yomif or Telahun, perhaps?) to push the pace the last 2k, and I'm not sure any of them would be willing to do that.
Barega is the one to push the pace

Jakob is allowed to taper before the 1500 DLfinal in Brüssel next week.
Any idea if there will be a live stream?
CBC with canadian VPN or youtube DL channel with Indian VPN

Unfortunately for him, there's some chance he might, and I don't think he will be able to break such a high quality field. He practically did the pacemakers' job for them in Rome, where Telahun Bekele outkicked him, and then again at Pre he tried to break away in the 2 mile and got blown away in the homestretch by Cheptegei and Chelimo. The times he ran, 12:53 and 8:08 are fast, but not THAT fast that he will leave the field in the dust. It's also worth mentioning that he basically got paced to 4800m in his 12:43.02 run. In conclusion, I believe he should sit back, get his tactics sorted out and work on his kick, as Doha will more likely than not be a slow race. Same thing for Tokyo 2020.
