Tollefson was an hour back at col seigne, yet to show up at lac combal.
Bummer, I think he will DNF. He made some comments prior to the race about his knee...

Yup.... just above you can click on "Ranking" (then click on circles to see aid station splits) and "GPS Tracking" (but the trackers get screwy sometimes). But irunfar has a little text on how they are looking and photos.
It's all good.
Alex Nichols (in 5th) and Andrew Miller (10th) only 2 US men in the top 10 at this point. Everyone else is fading. Alex seems to be running a smart race so far, steadily moving up. Hope he keeps it up!

irunfar reports that "He’ll be dropping at the Lac Combal aid station. He has a headache and stomach problems."

Andy Symonds and Tom Owens could sneak Top 10s.
7th and 11th, my prediction’s looking good!

unstable and prone to cause injuries? source please?
Everyone whose ever run in them. I love them but they’re a sock with two inches of foam stuck on the bottom. I consciously slow for sharp corners in road marathons when running in any of the new bikes - the idea of taking them on a trail is terrifying.

well yeah...of course they're no good on trails. but haven't heard from anybody reputable that they cause injuries on roads. I blame the 4%s for some ITBS I got from Boston last year, but I'm not that reputable.
updates - Courtney is soon to take the lead ahead of Miao Yao. she was 12min back at 81k and is now only 3min back about 75min later. Kaci not in top 10 anymore but that's not unusual.
Hayden Hawks "looks like heII" according to my inside source at Courmayeur. Zach is back in action after some stomach distress. Mark Hammond looks fine as does Paddy OLeary. I'm also watching Ryan Ghelfi's race...he started in 300th after 8k and has climbed to 78th after 50 miles. he won't be top ten but could easily end up in the top 30.
notable drops - Min Qi form the mens race and Tollefson are out. Hawks is basically out if he hasn't dropped yet.
Bummer about Tollefson. He appeared to have had a solid block and this was probably his best chance to win without Killian and Francois in the mix.

Courtney is now leading.
Courtney leading by 15 minutes at Arnouvaz!
Courtney leading by 40 minutes at La Fouly!
Courtney into Champex-Lac in 14th place Overall, ~52 minute lead over Mimmi Kotka.
Oops, 43 minute lead.
Pau Cappel about to wrap it up. He truly hammered this run. Amazing with all of The North Face's great athletes that they can't sell a damn trail shoe. Pau is wearing the Ultra Endurance II which is an 8mm offset.
Courtney is in the Top 15. She could be Top 10 by the end of the run.
