A very good question that I've considered many times. My parents are old, my brothers work in the area, and our family has been in that community for 3 generations. It would be quite a poor reflection on our name. I'd much rather shoulder the guilt than sully the good stead that the aforementioned has established.
And yes, the ability to smash our Sunday
runs was noticeable. Physiologically, I don't know the mechanism; but can assure you that I was not the same athlete I had been previously. Perhaps there was a mental/placebo affect that played a part if what you say is true?
