Chanelle Price racing as racer?
Terrible pacemaking. 55s instead of planned 57s. Feeling bad for Rogers.
Price doesn't seem to want to reach that level herself, surely she was capable of getting well under 2 and being competitive.
Hannah Green takes it! Surprise. Strong girl. Rogers went backwards those last 20 meters. Grace with a nice SB
Jakob: 3:31?? - That's good with these legs
Line Andersen: - How fast can you go if you taper?
Jakob: - That means magical times (...) we are allowed to let up a bit for the Diamond League final, I look forward to that.
Line Andersen: - So do we, so do we!
If tapering can make you run 1% faster: 3:31= 211 secs = 2.11 secs...
Wouldn't surprise me if they could run 1% faster when in peak shape...

She trusted the pacemaker to go out at the prescribed pace - a 57s first lap. Well, pacemaker did 55s which is way too fast, that's why she had nothing left at the end. She was essentially being used by the other runners who went out slower and smarter as second pacemaker for the distance between 400-700m. Hope she gains experience from that, that was supposed to be her race in terms of fitness/ability but didn't go her way at all.

Oh my!! So much for those slow sprint times - MR 19.65 LYLES!
I don't understand how you can get so excited for a time that's almost a half second slower than the world record.

With that attitude, you do not have a lot of fun in your life.
Seriously, can you watch anything without being grumpy??
Because it's still rarefied air, genius.

Tapering is far more relevant to sprint speed and enduring the rounds of a championship than it is to performance in time trials.

Please, Rojo, Grace is too old and too slow to be who you are dreaming of.
I thought Girma was going to get schooled bad there in the Steeple but he held his own for 3rd. Maybe wins it with a bit more experience. El B over Kigen 8.06/8.07

3:31.95 for Lewandowski. National record and PB
And yet still not the fastest 32 year old in the race. Although Lewandowski having a great year and nearly a PR in the 800 this season. He may go faster yet.
Oldest elite to PR in the 1500 ?

3 years off from racing...4th race back and he's under 3:32. I'll have what he's having.
