What are they? Could imagine them being popular running areas like Central Park, iconic routes like Mags, or even laps around certain tracks. Curious to hear what people think.

Are there any non-trail Strava running segments that aren't ruined by cyclists? I don't really blame Strava, I don't see a solution, but there are thousands of segments near me and they're almost all 200-1,000 meter random squiggles that some hobby jogger has designated. On anything longer or more meaningful than that 6+ of the top 10 times will clearly be cyclists.
Just flag them.
The ones I have the KOM are the best, toughest, and most manly. All the other ones are pure carp.
1. That doesn't work.
2. I don't really care that much, it spoils my idle enjoyment of a minor feature but I'm not going to invest time in fixing it.
3. Even if I felt differently, what's obvious to me isn't obvious to Strava. If the top times on a particular segment are in the 5:20s that'll include a mix of strong runners and recreational cyclists. Knowing which is which requires knowing the athletes or making a judgment based on "other factors."
Take this segment.

Pedro Domingues at #1 is legit.
I'm 90% sure Indrit Shehu, slower at #2 is a cyclist.
I'm 100% sure Paul Charovkine and Tomas Kim, slower still at #3 and #5 respectively are cyclists.
Felix Cancre at #6 is legit.
#7-9 are legit.
#10's a cyclist.
#11 is legit.
And so it goes. On every single Strava segment near me.

The solution would be for strava to automatically flag any “run” where a person set prs at every distance from 1K to over 21k during their recording
Wouldn’t be fool proof, but would catch the people uploading the wrong activity by accident.
There's a woman close to me that finished a 2:38 mile. Insane!
14ers in Colorado are not ruined by cyclists.

You're not wrong re #3. A 1:43 half mile ? I'd have that flagged right away. #5 has a 766 hour elapse time for the activity! Again I'd have that flagged.
Interesting you're thoughts on #1 and #2 though. Both too slow to be certain but looking at the activity I'd have guessed the other way around. #1's pace is very smooth looking on the graph (usually the sign of a cyclist) whereas #2 has the more "choppy" look of a runner.
This segment is a bit slower than my CRs though so a bit trickier. On mine the cyclists are a bit easier to spot as they've cracked world record run times for 100m+ at various points so I can confidently flag them without worrying I might be acting like an ass about it.

Flagging 100% works and it works instantly. To prove it, I just flagged Paul Charovkine and go ahead and check the leaderboard, he's now gone. I couldn't easily tell that the others were on bikes so I didn't flag them but you can feel free to do so if they're confident and they'll be removed within 10 seconds.
There are several uphills close to my home that i hold.

CP Res/Bridle has to be up there, yet I think the top times are not as fast as I'd expect. I want a Gregorek or Merber to go out there and go for it. I feel like that would do a lot for their bona fides and even marketing-wise could go viral; a way to connect with the Hobbyjoggers out there by competing in the same stuff they're about.

Merber talked about going for CP Res but LBP begged him not to do it.

Flagging just about always works, we do it all the time.

Oh, cool. Who/what is LBP?

Cool, thanks.
What was the objection -- that HJers would be mad at KM analogous to a pro shouldn't enter a local 5K and steal the glory? Or did LBP have the course record at the time? Or that injury was sure to result from a collision due to the selfish people running clockwise (see, e.g.,
https://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=9513389) given the high speeds Merber would be running?
