And they are wearing shorts that are too long.

It's fasion. You might see pants with tight or loose cuffs that are both just above the ankles
*Some* Millennial "Men" Wearing Pants that are too short
Or I could say "Old people are very uneducated". When really it's "Some old people are very uneducated". My examples may not have much of a difference though.
You do understand that we are on a running website where the average poster is a male who wears 3" inseam shorts, right?
Every generation has their fashion quirks. For example, I've noticed recently that almost every time I see an old person wearing a blazer/sport coat/suit jacket, the sleeves are way too damn long and hang down over their hand.
So young people like pants that are a bit short. Old people like jacket sleeves that are too long. To each his own.
Very true. Old men like to wear mustard corduroy trousers.
What age do you need to be before you can do this? And is it a sort of "in joke" for those wearing them?
Poor insecure OP :`(

Isn’t that what op is talking about?
After all, everything over 2” basically are pants

Imagine what kind of man if you are obsessing over other men's pants and outfits.
Am millennial and I've noticed this too. Your typical metropolitan millennial wears pants like this and I think it's a conscious fashion choice. It definitely looks stupid and it'd be funny if boomers and Gen Xers united to ridicule them for wearing highwaters.
My father is doing that too. I guess he is trendy.
And almost 85 :-)
You do realize that you're asking this question on a running forum where loads of men wear tights in public, don't you?
I prefer baggier pants, but I really don't care about the pants other guys are wearing and I definitely don't think manliness has anything to do with your pants preference. I don't mean to stereotype, but it seems like a fixation on men's pants (such as the OP's) is more common in the gay community. You hate to see repressed sexual preferences lead to self-loathing and irrational expressions of animosity, but that's probably what we're seeing here.
I haven't noticed this, but i have noticed how unfit and effeminate millennial males are, at least in large metropolitan areas. Guess they can't afford $10/month for a gym membership after buying those expensive short jeans.
It’s Italian style. It’s a fashion thing.
Our founding fathers wore powdered wigs.
Ancient Greek and Romans wore dresses.
People wear fanny packs unironically.
Who gives a sh*t about the fashion of other people? How insecure do you have to be to concern yourself with something like that, you douche canoe?

Assumed that generation was gay.
