They already were his sponsor as they sponsor the Kansas team.

I really thought he was going with Oregon Project. I was even going to post a thread about it...
Will likely stay with college program till he graduates...

Why leave? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. David Rudisha never left Brother Colm.
Mutually beneficial move . Hoppel will be Addidas’ number 1 American male track athlete

Noah Lyles???
As a side note, only current world record set in Adidas is the 800m.

and Grant Holloway???
This is not shocking in the least. Hoppel’s agent is Mark Wetmore, so therefore adidas.

Keni Harrison wears the 3 stripes too.
And if we count fake events, Miller Uibo ran a 300 world best this year too.
These kind of posts are why I hate the internet where anyone can say anything.

I'm talking about the male side.

That's good, cause otherwise we should probably also count Keitany's all women's marathon.
It wasn't at all clear you were talking men's side, and if we are also talking about "is adidas as good as other companies", it shouldn't really matter whether WRs are mens or womens, should it?
I think Lyles and Holloway are male.
I was mistaken, the only world records set in Adidas on the men's side is the 400m and the 800m.

That’s not true. He left Colm in 2015 or early 2016. Definitely before the Rio Olympics.

Aa a corrected side note:
Wade VanNiekirk 400
David Rudisha 800
So, in the main T&F running events, from the fastest to the slowest:
100, Puma, Bolt
200, Puma, Bolt
400, Adidas, Van Niekirk
800, Adidas, Rudisha
1500, Nike, El G
5k, Nike, Bekele

NOP has Murphy and Brazier who both specialize in 800.
Hoppel doesn't have room or attention there yet.
.....Besides, Murphy ran his best times and got a bronze medal using both Adidas and his college coach when he went pro.
(NOP grabbed him afterwards)
Hoppel will do well at this juncture to stick with what's familiar, shoes & coach.
