Thanks for watching.
Yes
I'm sure that there are some people that do but for optimal training benefits it would probably be better not to use cannabis or smoke cigarettes. You would probably be better off having a couple of shots of whiskey/whisky.
Yes but your training will go to “pot”. ?
Sorry, that was awful. I’ll show myself out.
(Seriously though, edibles!)
I'm not sure I agree with this. Alcohol destroys me, even with just 2-3 drinks I definitely feel the difference in my sleep / how well rested I feel the next day. I'm Asian so my body doesn't deal alcohol well, though.
I love cannabis. Never makes me feel as beat as drinking alcohol does. Personal order of most destructive for running would be ciggies, alcohol, weed
I literally smoke weed every day, usually multiple times each day, and run 60-70 mpw. Ran 22 this morning. The stress relief outweighs many of the physical side effects, in my opinion.

I lived in Asia for a number of years and Asians seem to have a higher incidence of being "allergic" to or not able to metabolize alcohol as well as others.

Essentially same here.
Show me a man who doesn't like cannabis strains

This is awful advice. Alcohol is much worse for you and for your training.
(cigarettes are also really bad, but I am ignoring that since it is off topic).
I smoke weed every once in a while and I don't believe it does much to training in moderation.
Smoking, in any form, is not conducive to having stronger lungs. Bad move. THC can help mentally for sure but best to eat it.
I commute nearly an hour each way, each day, in heavy traffic. Taking two or three puffs of weed a few times a week is a rounding error to the volume of stuff I'm breathing.
But this is a non-story. We'll have national legalization in another year or so. Less bad for you than booze? Yes, it is.
agreed. my reference was smoking right before running, and daily smokers.
You would be surprised how many top NCAA distance runners I have met that smoke weed regularly. Not as much during the racing season, definitely during base phase though. In my opinion, it’s all about moderation/what your head can handle. If you can do it every so often, and not feel bad/guilty about it afterwards then I see no problem. Same with drinking.
Why do you guys keep saying alcohol is worse for running? what about it makes you say that? I'm having a couple drinks about 5 nights a week.
Are you younger than 30-35? You'll see.
You probably have not heard about different cannabis strains that have different effects. For example, this strain https://askgrowers.com/strains/zprite-strain-review can help students avoid everyday stress or the effects of sports injuries. Medicine does not prohibit the use of such doping for people who suffer from nervous diseases or pain syndromes.
long runs, smoking, and eating 2-3k calories in one sitting is good for you
