I've been looking for a shoe that works well for recovery runs after hard days and one for long runs (bonus if a single shoe does both). I want something essential to offer some support against the pounding, but that is a neutral shoe with a heel-to-toe drop under 6mm (4mm would be ideal).
The Hoka Cliftons checked many boxes, were comfortable ,and not crazy heavy, but I feel like I'm on platforms. It might just simply be too much shoe. I'm feeling slightly adamant about the heel drop, especially for long runs.
Any suggestions of ones that have worked well and fit my picky requirements?
