It is just a show, but kind of fun with 30 runners changing being the shield.
I guess 1:59:49!
This fits with their workouts, because they do roughly 1 hr half marathon pace for workouts that amount to somewhere between 21 (7x3 minutes) and 30 minutes (3x10 or 5x6) at that pace in the morning and evening two to three days a week.
Anyone check on Coevett yet? He will be devastated that the “biggest star of the sport” is being asked to bow to the king with some pacing duties.
If they're going to cheat, why not just go all in and put a vehicle behind him with a giant fan creating a massive tailwind! 1:57.

It's surprising that Nike is spending all sorts of under the table money to have these people pace a confirmed doper.
They aren't pacing a confirmed doper. They are pacing Kipchoge.

Norway is the fourth least corrupt country in the world, so I doubt that Gjert or the sons take money under the table, less so, as Gjert states in the interview it will be wellpayed, and you, NN, is the only to confirm that Kipchoge is using perfomance enhancing drugs.

I’m afraid Paul Chelimo will take him out too fast and then try bashing into Kipchoge.
