People are just jealous. Both of these women got model measurements - very tall, and lean. Koko even was working as a model for a few years, could probably make a lot more money but chose the sport instead.
Keep in mind 40% of people in the US alone are obese (>30 BMI). Most of the criticism comes from these people, they are constantly reminded of how fat, unhealthy and unfit they are, so they try to unleash their anger on lean people trying to make themselves feel better.
The other people who complain are mostly people on LR/running communities, who are jealous that these women are faster than they are. Instead of accepting the fact that they are working harder, training harder and more talented they try to explain the gap in skill between the women and them by the weight difference. Ridiculous.
You are ridiculous. So, because a ton of people in the US are obese, no one is allowed to comment that someone is underweight and has an eating disorder? If anyone comments about an underweight runner, that means they are jealous? What stupid arguments.
McColgan is healthy and fit.
Klosterhalfen has lanugo and has an eating disorder and is underweight. She will not last more than 2 more years as an elite runner.
