"she won't shut up about" you mean she's ASKED about it in every dang interview she does. She recognizes the value in promoting herself on social media. She inspires young female runners everywhere, but yeah, what a cringe!
She isn't even that fast? Are you kidding me? She's one of the best steeplers in the world. Are you an ex boyfriend of hers?

I'm a big fan of Colleen - I was more speaking for the interviewer in the video asking Quigley about why she didn't go to the Olympic Village parties in Rio like she's some sorority girl.
Absolutely nothing cringe about this
Interesting that there's some hate for such a personable, successful runner. I wonder why? Is it because she's happy in her own skin? A good runner? Articulate? Has been successful in other areas of life?
Not all runners are skinny misfits who sucked at team sports. Not all runners are bitter because they never cracked the magic 15 minute barrier. Not all runners whine that anyone who beats them is on peds.
If more running as a sport had more CQ's, its appeal to a broader base of fans would increase overnight.
Solid interview. Nothing "cringy" about it. Cringy is when the brojos do the interview.

Agree with this poster. Didn't find this cringy at all.
•She's asked about past modeling work constantly.
•She promotes herself to her audience on social media.
•She's smart about making herself recognizable and having a personality.
That isn't cringy, that's branding and marketing. Seems to be working well for her.
"You run for an hour and ten minutes"?

I don’t think this interview was targeted at a running audience and Colleen simply answered the questions.
Great runner, great person, good luck to her.

I think you’re right. I’ve met Colleen a couple of times and she couldn’t be nicer. Wish her nothing but success.

I agree. I've seen her a few times at races and she is always very gracious with her time and is super nice. Class act!
I think it is fine to market oneself, but what Colleen does verges on fake in my eyes. She promised to come to my school’s track practice (in Portland) and never showed up. Then she posted on instagram about visiting another school. Kind of sucked because we all sat around waiting for her.
Not the most enthralling interview, but she's doing her job for her sponsors to take these opportunities. If she continues to have periods of injury (which is no fault of her own, really), then doing stuff like this is a good way to stay relevant.
The modeling this is what makes her different from others. Do I care? Not really, but her target audience does. Dudes on here probably care too.
The joy of living in America ... Constant advertising and marketing. Suck it up if you benefit from capitalism.
I mean, one could also choose not to watch the video or follow her on IG.
She is sooo freaking cringe.....I was making fun of this interview like a week ago. She is obsessed with the fact that she modeled and gave up her modeling career to run. Its really embarrassing, it reminds me of what that kid Phillip Rocha said in his instagram post....the amount of vanity and self obsession is UNREAL!
I watched it and I forgot that someone even said this was cringy. It's a perfectly normal interview, nice try.
Some of the questions at the beginning were classic questions that someone that doesn't run might ask a runner.
There was nothing wrong with this interview, I thought she did a good job.

Imagine your entire livelihood is dependent on your body. You'd be obsessed with yourself too. Regardless, you should listen to her interview on Nick Symmonds' podcast. She's intelligent and an entrepreneur. Cringe all you want but most of us would kill for that type of life. Her modeling career makes her more marketable, and she should take advantage of that.
Kristine Leahy is the worst. A former sycophant of Cowherd. The worst. This show will not last long and that point...Barstool I guess? Back off Squigs
She looks pretty in this interview.

go home LRC, you're drunk. a woman with some personality who is out here inspiring younger women. the nerve of her to not conform to whatever you want her to be.
she made the worlds team and has a ton of social media followers doing her fast braid stuff. it's called having an image and marketing herself. she's done pop ups in random cities to meet fans.
