Be glad to be offered a walkon spot with those times. I assume the guy was being facetious.

Nico Young to NAU
Touhy has to commit sometime soon. Same with Carlie Dorostkar and Corie Smith of California.

Prob a walk on I doubt a 4;11 and 9;09 gets u scholarship at Colorado
I don’t know dude, I think Kashon mentioned getting scholarship and he was around those times junior year.
Since Colorado hasn’t really gotten too many top top guys I wouldn’t be suprised if he got it.
All the people saying they’re “surprised” he got a walk on spot are bitter imho

Does anyone know where Corie Smith of Clovis is looking at? Im sure Stanford and Cal Berkley are on her radar especially being from California.
Doesn’t have the academics for either.
Word was the kid was injured good part of Junior year Indoor/Outdoor. And to not run against much competition during the regular season, but end up 3rd at Regionals and All-American as a Junior is doubly impressive. These are exactly the kids that get overlooked until the end of the season .
But you were right about one thing—it was interesting to watch him at Footlocker this year. 7th!!! 6 secs out of 3rd place. Ends up 17th and 16h by MileSplit and DyeStat, respectively.

As early signing day is approaching here are the top uncommitted guys. Im sure all these guys have took most if not all their visits and are going to be deciding very soon.
Tier 1
8 Daniel O'Brien: VA
I have to say I am puzzled as to why Daniel O'Brien is considered a Tier 1 kid. Due to his 12th place at a watered down FootLocker? His track times really do not indicate he is one of the top kids in the US, and he doesn't run against other top kids much. It will be interesting to see how he does at FL this year after zero competition from other top runners this fall.

Ben Schnoor and Jake Krause (both from Wisconsin) are committed to the University of Minnesota.
I predict Shuayb Hussein from Wayzata MN (he edged out AJ Green for the last NXN qualifying spot at Heartland) to go to the University of Minnesota as his older brother is on the team already

Kashon got a scholarship for being an URM.
Shen’s Bryan Spence, Ryan Shanahan, Griffin Cooke, and Jennifer McClintock - all to Siena College
Will Marchant from Burnt Hills - University of Buffalo
Carson Belnap - BYU
Jace Aschbrenner of Newbury Park (Nico Young Teammate) to Colorado. Very good get for CU and probably their best get in this class compared to Shaw Powell and Caleb Neidnagel which are the other two guys they got in this class. Imagine being on a team with the top 2 runners going to programs like NAU and Colorado that are 2 of the top 3 cross country and 5K/10K schools in the country

I wouldn’t be surprised if their younger teammates C Sahlman and the younger Youngs end up in a big programs like that
