Yes.
Unless you're recruited by the football team, you still need all A's and better than 1400 SATs regardless of your xc and t&f credentials

Best combo of athlete + coach talent thus far for distance on the guys’ side. We’ll see where Nico goes. Could see Allred winning a NC with Eyestone (as a 25 year old senior..). Seems to get better the higher the distance.
