Yeah right.
This scam is often used by libs. My nutter lift winger relative likes to play this little game of self-delusion. Reality check: nobody is buying it.
^This. Is what I'm talking about.
I was a democrat from age 18-30. I registered republican at at 30. I voted form GH Bush twice. I voted for Bob Dole. I voted for GW Bush. Twice. The second time with reluctance. A lot of reluctance. In 2008 I voted for Obama with reluctance. I thought McCain was alright, but Palin was (and turned out is) a disaster. I voted for Obama again in 2012. I thought it was a toss up with Roomey and I almost voted for Mitt. I choose to go with the known vs the unknown.
2016 was the worse election of my life. Two horrible choices. HRC is, I think, immoral. She knows wrong vs right, but she chooses power over principle. She's not a person I would want to know or have run our country. Then there was Trump. The walking case of classic narcissistic personality disorder. A person who lies about everything. A terrible businessman, and terrible person. I voted for HRC, but I really was not looking forward to 4 years of her and was hoping some Republican would come around who was sane.
Trump has turned out far worse than I ever thought possible. I've agreed with a few things - a lower corporate tax rate for one has been very good. But the change he has created in our society - the tone he has set, the utter disregard for facts. the lack of decency is devastating..
We are a worse country than before Trump. Our reputation has been damaged. And it will take a lot to repair.
I've never voted for party. I always vote for the person. I've rarely been happy with the choices presented, but I've never been so utterly dejected than to have Donald J Trump as our president. I could no longer associate myself with him. Thus I'm an independent. I'm not a liberal, or a conservative. I've an open mind. I can even change it when I realize I'm wrong.
