The Cool Breeze course is not close to as fast as Woodbridge. Woodbridge is a good 30 seconds faster.
Can confirm what the Claremont kid said, Cool Breeze was about 20 seconds slower this year than last year.

It's 3 miles. Do yourself a favor and bring a wheel and measure it. Certified 3 miles.

The all time record is only 13:55 and those are some stud runners over the years that ran Woodbridge. Last year I saw a coach measuring the course with a wheel. After doing so I asked him what the results were and he said "it came to just over 3 miles, and I was cutting the tangents".
It's flat and yes very fast. It's a full three miles. Nico Young ran 14:01 last year and then went on to run 8:40 in the 3200m. I would imagine that time will get much faster this year.
Not even kind of three miles. We went over this last year: https://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=8434250&page=1
Yes, Bellarmine is very strong and deep. For those who asked, Lowell's course was roughly 200m shorter this year.

It looks like Bellarmine's Mr. Peattie is going to move up from his 73rd USA rankings as he beat 44th ranked Galindo by 13 seconds.
Peattie impressed me this pass spring. Especially at the California state meet with his 4:09/9:09 double. I don't recall a sophomore running a faster double than this(someone prove me wrong). Don't forget he beat the NXN champion in the 1600.
Tamagno 4:09/9:00 as a sophomore in 2014.
Bellarmine looks strong though. Should be a serious contender this year.

Shorter than the usual 2.93 or are you just saying 200m shorter than 3 miles?

it was definitely shorter than the usual 2.93. Otherwise there's no way so many girls would be running faster than Lauren Peurifoy's time from the year she got 2nd at state (maybe her sophomore year?)
I've heard from a number of coaches that Lowell was *about* 2.80 miles this year, so roughly 200m shorter than 2.93 miles.

Saugus will be in Utah at the BYU Autumn Classic this weekend.
Newberry had an impressive performance last night.

Not looking like they'll be quite as good as hoped for by the socal posters.
well that didn't go to plan wrote:

Depends upon whether their injured runners recover and are able to contribute later this season. Two of the Saugus top six, including 2018 #1, and two more potential varsity runners didn't run in Utah or at Cool Breeze.

That makes sense. Who are these 4 runners you speak of? 4 of your potential top 7 not running sounds like an issue.

That's BS.
A 9th grader ran 14:42 at Cool Breeze. Are you saying that 9th grader can run 14:20?

Screw Newbury Park.
Their top 5 come from only two sets of parents!
And they steal every top club runner in the county.
