Should his wife/ assistant coach resign as well, so now they BOTH need a new job?

Well the new director might not even retain her. The coaching structure they have is dumb. Director. Separate men's XC head coach. Separate women's XC head coach.
None of the distance coaches are really qualified to be a director of the program. So the new director might have to agree to keep both of the distance coaches.
Seems like the administration really dropped the ball and Utesch did everything but drop his pants.
Good speech
Who is that guy and who are the peanuts?
Agreed. There is more to the story than just this article written by wannabe journalism majors.
You go from insensitive jokes and kicks in the butt to sexual predator with his wife as an accomplice. C'mom!
I would hope that LU's AD and administrators would have taken action if this was going on for many years and had been reported. And if you read other sources on social media, the prospect parent who complained just wanted a bigger scholarship, allegedly!
Do you have the links to the other social media sources? Asking for a friend

I find it despicable that the coach accused the recruit of blackmailing him for a bigger scholarship. And you know the accusation would have to come from the coach because him and the recruit are the only ones privy to their conversations. He shouldn't be talking about that kind of private info, especially with the recruit's name public. Extremely unprofessional.
Based on the information provided, Utesch should be fired immediately.
Also, Sterrett and Sterrett should be fired for their complicity in covering up and perpetuating the ongoing issues.
Sterrett and *Salvemini
Utesch has resigned as head coach
Do you have a source?
This thread is from 2 years ago. He just resigned (as opposed to being fired) now? WTF?
All of the allegations should be taken seriously. However, this is the one that blows my mind!:
“Perhaps most disturbing, as a father of four children, of which three are daughters, was the fact that Coach Utesch, at the final dinner, made repeated sexual and misogynistic comments about a specific runner…, commenting on physical attributes of the runner, saying that she was ‘hot’ and commenting that his son also found her to be ‘hot,’” Burkhauser said in his email.
I can't begin to think of any reason why this, alone, doesn't cost him his job!
When I first saw the title of the article I thought it was going to be another case of whiny students making bogus complaints. I was 100% wrong, this coach should have been fired years ago. The things he said and did were SHOCKING.
It's crazy to read through the comments, there are even more grievous complaints from commenters.
I have to file this as a bad rumor. His profile is still on the team website and there is nothing anywhere (Internet, social media, etc.) about him resigning or being fired.
