What kind of workout are you doing at the gym?

Just some dumbbells today. Ran some intervals earlier.
You do know USA is crazy overrated right?
FIBA world cup is right before NBA season, which will have NBA players for team USA as an Olympic qualifying tourney and world championship event. regardless, any USA team getting destroyed makes you wonder. Argentina probably has their A team and is quite good. Olympic champs in 04 I believe with Manu.
Looks like that's not their first loss of the tourney either. The USA team is young and I'd imagine they haven't played together much. Argentina looks like they did send a more experienced team. If they've played past tournaments together that's a huge benefit. Saw Luis Scola is on the Argentina team, dude's almost 40. Must be a farewell tourney for him.
We don't send a serious team to the Pan Am games. US hasn't gotten gold since 1983. They use the team to develop college coaches & players. It's a ton of really solid Big East players but only a couple have NBA talent. They've also only been playing with each other for a couple of weeks.
The US Pan Am team is a bunch of young college guys, not even top level college guys. Don't take it too seriously. I'm surprised y'all even heard about it.
All i hear is a lot of bad excuses for the fact that USA basketball is really nothing special.
The team is represented by some Big East players. It’s not even all of the really good ones. Only like 3-4 of em will make the league next year while others needs more time or will be overseas. The Argentina team they played were older pros and were the favorites coming in. Luis Scola(NBA Vet) is on the team so just imagine a guy with so many years of NBA experience playing against a group of 18-22 year olds that are just only good college players
Yeah also the US does not take this tournament seriously. And Myles Powell(Seton Hall) is the only player on the team w serious potential this season.
The USA was beat 114-75 by Argentina. If you don't like the score, send better players and stop making excuses.

Lol. Yeah. and the tournaments that the US does win, no one else takes those tournament seriously other than the USA.
Had the USA won, they would have faced Puerto Rico in the Gold Medal Game.
its a team sport.
usa is brought up on the slam dunk and the stats for me. me. me.
the result tells the tale.
team baby.

Please lol. It's because we didn't seen the varsity team, jv team, or even the freshman team. The best NBA players have no interest in competing in the pan ams lol. Plus most owners highly disapprove unless it's for the Olympics. I'm sure the US is overrated in some things. Basketball is not one. Get real

So what's the point of developing players who mostly don't have NBA talent anyway? Do NBA teams not allow their players to play?

Exactly this. No more big east tho
Bronze medal baby, big win over the DR. Big East proud.
What a stupid excuse, didn't send the best team! "We're the best country at basketball, so we'll deliberately lose this tournament against other countries by sending our worst possible team."
At least the Canadians played that arrogance card right - they simply stayed out of international hockey until the Soviets proved them beatable. If you think you're too good for the tournament, don't go.
