Watching that video, I don't see why Jakob can't attack the 7:20 3000m record from Komen.
I think in a perfectly paced race in the right conditions, Jakob could run 3:40/3:40 back to back.
Not straight away after - i’m sorry if that was unclear. The long run was the last session of the day.
Top end speed is their weakness, and their training reflects that. Lots and lots of sub LT miles. Jakobs insane LT-speed is what enables him to race so much, and thats where I predict his annual gains will come from in the coming years. I absolutely think that the 3000m record stands to fall in the next 3-4 years.
Is he doping that hard?

What's this Kings Trophy?
This dopingmania is ridiculous. Jakob has had an even, gradual, annual progression since he was 12 years old. When do you suggest he started doping?
Why would he need to?
Why aren’t Henrik and Filip getting similar results despite being several years older?
Every NC, regardless of sport, has an event in which the event winner is awarded «Kongepokalen» or King’s trophy. Our King, King Harald V, sometimes attends these NC events and personally awards the trophy. Mostly in XC-skiing, as it’s our national traditional pasttime, but sometimes other sports aswell.
In track they have a points system dependant on world-class times in each event. So it’s usually the shorter distances or technical events which get the closest to a WR. The last three years it’s been awarded to Karsten Warholm. Medium/long-distance running basically have no chance since there’s not a good enough pace in the field to achieve world class times. Hence Jakob’s solo run.
In other sports the event is predetermined, such as XC-skiing and downhill skiing.
8x1200 at about 3:00 strains credulity. That's nearly 10k of running at 3k pace.
I expect great things of Jakob, but sub 3:27 this year is absurd, as is 7:20. To break 3:29 wouldn't surprise me, though it's not a sure thing this year. He'll have to break 7:30 before he is spoken of as a threat even to run 7:26, which would be a great time for time even in the next few years. Henrik ran 7:36 this year. I'm sure he can break 7:30 and 13 this year.

Jakob is going to be in a sub 3:27 shape come WC - mark my words. At that speed tactics start to become less and less important. His development in racing strategy is apparent - where before he would coast of the back to a respectable time - he’ll now take control of the race and dominate the opposition.
Noone likes to be outrun by a kid, and this will work in Ingebrigtsen’s favour.
Barring a serious accident I can’t think of anyone other than Tim that’ll even challenge Jakob in the WC.
In the WC there will probably be a wait and kick race . Then Jakob will be in trouble with fast guys as Lewandowski..
So why would he wait and kick rather than try to run it out of them? If, as you say, he would lose anyway, why not try something different?

It is a trophy the best athlete get from King Harald, one for each sport, one for the females one for the males, as you probably read Karsten Warholm grabbed it for the fifth time I believe, sometimes the King is present to give the trophy away, not this time I believe.

Yep. They're pretty good, no doubts there. Why wasn't Filip in the 1500 final though?
I was rooting for that guy who went with Jakob, who held on for 2nd.

Warholm and Ingebrigtsen should duke it out over 800m for the prize. Who would win?

That guy, Ferdinand Kvan Edman, ran faster than the USchamp (3:44;xx)

All distances up to 743m Karsten, then Jakob.
Again, there is no way they did 8x1200 at 59-61 pace. If they did then they’re in WR 3k, 5k and10k shape or they left their entire season in that session.
He also did 12x1 mile in 4:00 with 2 min rest

he lead from the start. was never challenged, had complete control pf pacing. No one was racing him, so it mgith as well have been a solo effort
