If she can pull it together in major races then KK has to be knocking on the doors of Dibaba's WR.

What a run! Wow! Looks like she’s been lifting with her legs. Super skinny but if you look at her upper body she isn’t sunken in. Julian or Salazar coaching her?
KoKo BeWare. The wrestler would be proud of the name!
And she is as Skinny as a Bird!

The only non-East African to run faster was Russian Liliya Shobukhova 14:23.75.

so KK is the fastest non-East African.
No, she's the second fastest. Learn to read.
Dopers don't count in my book.

Her results don't count for anything.
Nice coaching by Julian.

Lol, you realize Klosterhalfen is with NOP, right? She’s as suspect as they come.

Was Shobukova actually busted? Dont remember any articles around that.

She's not as suspect as they come since Shobukhova has been convicted and before then was very clearly dirty. NOP is suspect as is anyone that is on that team but you can't honestly say that they are equally as suspect as say anyone working with Jama Aden or anyone already convicted of doping. There are levels for sure.

She was and all results after 2009 were nullified. I'm sure she was doping before then. Anyway she received several bans and then testified against some people to reduce some of the sentences.

Lots of negative energy today. We needed this.
Konstanze's run, persona is just so sweet, genuine. Love her mom, too. World Champs are gonna be a barn burner but my money is still on Obiri.
She is the biggest German running talent in like forever. As a German I am so freaking proud of her. I hope she can stay injury free with her low weight. I want to see her crush even longer distances.
Also always good to mention Alina Reh, easily the second most exciting talent in germany. She took second and she has so much potential with her 22 years. She ran a Half recently in like 1:11 without specific half marathon training. I'm really excited what she can do too.

I agree with this. She would have to add a little bit more strength and tone to her body, and establish a great kick. She is more in the Ayana fold, where she can push fast for the majority of the race, but not kick in the last 1 or 2 laps. Her only chance would be to go out strong and hold, putting pressure on everyone else who don't want to run fast early. If the she is still with the pack, down the stretch, no way will she medal.
Didn't Ayana run a last 800m in the 1:57 range in a 5000m?
Don’t be too impressed. They held all German national championship events in not only TF but also things like rowing, boxing, etc on this weekend in the capital and the stadium is the most famous one in Germany. It’s not surprising that the event was well attended. The announcer even said that few could probably comprehend how fast she was running.

So . . . Hasay is dirty, Brazier is dirty, Murphy is dirty, Engels is dirty, KK is dirty, Hassan is dirty, Rupp is dirty, Rowbury is dirty, Osako is dirty, Kejelcha is dirty, Jenkins is dirty, and Hull will soon be dirty (so many different countries represented here). You'd think given the ProPublica piece and Goucher's testimony that someone would be busted by now. But no. How does one explain this? This is not a snarky question--it's a serious one. If it's so clear that NOP is dirty from top to bottom, might not one expect someone to get caught? Are they that good at hiding it?
i agree.such a mammoth improvement isnt possible at that leval without drugs.she was always a brilliant young athlete, but that improvement is otherworldly, and ridiculous.good to see large doses of epo,and goodness knows what else,is still working.

That was great! Thanks for posting the video. If a picture is worth a thousand words... Her moms reaction in the stands is the best.
Also I guess it's not illegal to televise an entire distance race in Germany without interspersing some random javelin or jump.
In the age of streaming they did have two streams dedicated to field events on another channel.

1) She ran a great time. Not world-breaking time. The announcers sounded like Arnold Schwarznegger while getting excited.
Germany is not a distance country. Our best T&F are mostly throwers and decathletes, occasionally other field events. (The Vo2max people go into triathlon, rowing and cross country skiing, no East Africans there.) The old record she broke was almost 20 years old by Irina Mikitenko (born in Kazakhstan).
Klosterhalfen is the greatest distance running talent in German track and field history. And 14:26 solo is close enough to world breaking for the general level of running in Germany to get excited about.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
