Here is a recap of where this thread has gone and where my goals are for my next year as a collegiate runner.
800 - 2:00 --> 2:00 - only race it twice and didn't ever get into good conditions in a fast race as I won both my races (2:03 & 2:01) by 2+ seconds each time.
1600 - 4:34 --> 4:22 - Very happy with this improvement, yet kind of spiteful towards corona as I felt I definitely had a faster race in me (hopeful I may still get that chance)
3200 - 9:56 --> 9:39 - Didn't race at all during track, but did a race right after xc and dropped the 9:39. Honestly pretty satisfied with that as I am not sure how much faster I could go even if I did race it.
5000(xc) - 15:48 --> 15:25 - All state with this and not much to say about it except I am glad that I was able to produce what I always knew I had in me.
Goals for freshman year of college:
Cross Country:
Run under 25:40 for the 8k (5:10 pace)
Be top 5 on the team
LONG SHOT GOAL - Make it to regionals as an individual (top-15 finish)
Indoor Track:
800 (if run) - 1:56
Mile - under 4:15 and qualify for conference finals
3000 - under 8:40 and top 10 at conference
5000 (if run) - under 15:10
LONG SHOT GOAL - Break school record in mile (4:13.27)
Outdoor Track:
800 (if run) - 1:54
1500 - Under 3:58 and qualify for conference finals (slowest Q last year was 4:00)
3000S (if run) - Around 9:40
5000 (if run) - Under 14:55
LONG SHOT GOAL - Under 3:55 in the 1500
There it is, subject to change based on injury or if we get back the rest of our outdoor season. Hopefully it will change based on the latter.
