Hard to believe this could happen in our 2019 world today.
When will progress be made?
"Caster Semenya says she will not defend her World Championship 800m title in September after a setback in her challenge to the restricting of testosterone levels in female runners."
So, Caster is fighting for women to have the right to use testosterone enhancing drugs. She needs to go home. She's clearly confused.
This will not deter me from continuing my fight for the human rights of all of the female athletes concerned.
Dorothee Schramm, the lawyer leading Semenya's appeal, added: "The judge's procedural decision has no impact on the appeal itself. We will continue to pursue Caster's appeal and fight for her fundamental human rights. A race is always decided at the finish line."
This is great victory for women’s track
Literally a single judge did this.
A single judge of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court overruled the temporary suspension of the IAAF regulations of teststerone levels in female athletes
How is that justice?

I know, right? Hard to believe they were actually thinking about letting her run.
Now power-lifting and other sports should follow suit.
None of the main-stream (MSM) news articles even perturb to mention Semenya has XY and DSD (internal testes), just that "she has naturally high testosterone". Almost like how they ignored underlying facts for Baylor/WNBA transgender star Griner.
The Federal Court’s decision on Tuesday will have wide-reaching consequences for gender politics and science and could set a precedent for all women’s sports, not just athletics.
Semenya could now appeal to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, arguing a human rights violation.
Hopefully it won't affect Science as much as Gender Politics.
The IAAF said they would only comment once they have read the full reasoning behind the judgement.
We understand the Swiss Federal Tribunal will be publishing its full decision on this order tomorrow (Wednesday) and the IAAF will comment once the tribunal makes its reasoning public," a spokeswoman told Reuters.
A tangent perhaps, but does anyone else get the feeling that Caster only trained a few times a week, about the level of a middle-schooler? Just seemed to coast along on a huge biochemical advantage.
Semenya is free to qualify and compete in the open class.
Semenya is an XY person with testosteron-producing testes and external female genitalia.
She is not not a woman. She is not a man. She is intersex.
It wouldn't be fair to let her compete in the women's 800m.

What is the exact number of judges it would take to make it just?

^^Exactly. When one considers the actual facts of this case, in particular the realities of Caster's physiology and genetics, there is no plausible argument for allowing Caster in female events.
The vast majority of people are just ignorant of the facts here. Well, not here, just in general:-)
Its a temporary ban. She can still run in other races while the appeal runs its course.
Ajee Wilson has no excuse not to win the WC in Doha. I think she can do it but see if the pressure gets to her.
Maybe Semenya can make more $$ and a higher profile outside of track by taking on this issue.
I would expect a Swiss court to be more enlightened. Sad day.

You have a Right to be judged by Peers.
Only other 46XY DSD internal testes persons should be aloud to rule on Semenya.
