Triathlon. At the 2018 World Championships, the female winner, Daniela Ryf, would have placed 25th in the men’s race, beating more than half of the men’s field, which was theoretically the best 50 pro men in the world.
Her time of 8:26:18 would have won OVERALL in 20 of the last 42 Kona Ironmans.

Let's look deeper at this, so we can address this with FACTS and not conjecture like we have to with basketball and other sports.
Kona is the top of the sport, the best professionals, competing on the same course on the same day, only separated by a few minutes in start time. Just over fifty of the best men in the world lining up.
2017
Daniela Ryf would have been 32nd in a field of 55 men, and she would have beaten Jan Frodeno by three spots.
2016
Daniela Ryf would have been 31st in a field of 57 men,
2015
Daniela Ryf would have been 24th in a field of 54 men.
2014
Mirinda Carfrae would have been 30th in a field of 53 men.
And it isn't just the top woman who would beat men. In 2018 there were 12 women would have beaten the last male finisher (and there were 9 more men "behind" him who DNFed).
In 2017 all 28 of the women who finished would have beaten the last male pro. There were probably a lot of female age-groupers who would have beaten him as well but I didn't bother to look because the point is proven.
