Oops. My reading comprehension skills are lacking. Didn't see the part about their marathon times from 2018/2019!

have you seen him race well the last 4 years?!
Doesn't mean he can't contend. If the weather is fair that day, he may surprise a lot of people.
the percentages are soooo unlikely of that though.......... why torture yourself and hope for a miracle and then be disappointed like the last few years of his racing?

Because I truly feel for the guy after having so many injuries and so much talent. He's training with the Hansons now, I live in Michigan, and I'm pulling for him. Truth be told, he's the main reason that I'm driving there to watch the race. I do understand the percentages, but if he's on, he's very capable of making it.
LR should host the first LR marathon. Invite Sellers and all LR trolls. Let them chase her to the standard

Exactly.
Same goes to Gwen Jorgensen fans.
Jarrett LeBlanc - NYC
From Katy Jermann interview after Grandma's Half win on YouTube looks like she and Tyler Jermann will be in same TBD fall marathon.
Since Trials are now Gold for women - are the elites just saving themselves for Feb or are they really injured?
Cragg and Hasay have both withdrawn from Chicago
What does it mean for New York and Houston?
No one has told Carey Pinkowski about either Cragg or Hasay not running.

I won't try to dissuade you from being a fan, but there is practically no scenario where he could be in the hunt for top three.

Ritz ran 1:01 this past spring. Ran a 1:04 in death conditions at RNR Chicago in July. How many in the US can run 1:01? Less than 5? With his experience, he is for sure a contender. I don't care if he runs 2:17 or DNFs, he's a contender on paper & has run a recent fast half. Lining up for Crim 10 Miler as well in a couple weeks as well.
You could add Ritchie, Lagat, Scott Smith, Ryan Vail, to your contenders list. There are a number of intriguing runners who have the half marathon standard as well. Reed Fischer is running Chicago. Raneri is heading to NYC. You could add in any of the 2:31-2:32 women. The Trials will be hilly. It's sort of up in the air on which stars will show up & be healthy. A couple years ago you might have said Flanagan/Cragg/Linden are locks which isn't the case now. Kipyego is intriguing with the half standard.
