I absolutely agree with you. I have met Nick and have done his training program on milermethod. He is a great guy very personable. I would bet at meets like that he is interacting with all the runners. He is a great role model for the younger runners in our sport as well as the older ones like myself. Kudos to Nick for running there!!!

"All-comers" or "some comers"?
I placed 2nd in a marathon once with a 3:10+ missing out on first by about 90 seconds.
It was an "all comers" marathon like every other one other than BM, OTM and OM. However, nobody decided to show up to run so I got second.
You race with whoever toes the line.
