Why are flotrack's live streams always so blurry? I don't understand why they are so bad at the thing they are supposed to be good at.
-
Centro in 1:46.32. Called 1:46.5.
-
Great men's 800. I think Hoppel makes the team unless Isaiah Harris can show something special between now and USAs (and he's running out of time). And Engels looks super fit. Top American at Pre in the Bowerman mile, now a big 800 PR of 1:44. If he doesn't make the team in the 1500, it's because he screwed up tactically.
-
So Centro was on the Start List for the Prestigious Monaco Meet this Week, but he pulls out so he can run a meet with mostly good-very good National Class runners, As Olympic Gold Medalist he should be running with The Worlds best and maybe chasing a Sub 3:30.00 and not running in this meet.
-
Shelby Houlihan gets her first sub-2 in 2nd. Happy to see, having run at a couple of the same Iowa state meets.
-
Kate Grace looked great. I'm assuming she'll be in the 1500 at USAs, but that will be a tough team to make, with two spots essentially spoken for (Houlihan/Simpson). Wonder if she'd consider the 800 at USAs.
Of course, you could say that between Wilson and Rogers, there are two spots spoken for in that event too. I think Wilson is a lock. I wouldn't call Rogers a lock, but think her chances are better than Grace in the 800. -

He’s only had 5-6 weeks of healthy training up to this point. Why would he travel across the world to most likely not even be in sniffing distance of his PR when he can stay here, get a tune up race and put in the final preparations for USAs. Monaco was just a back up if he didn’t get the qualifier at pre. -

I’m here getting video for everyone who hates flotrack. I got the 2 fast 800’s so far. I’ll try to upload them tomorrow morning. -

Why don't some meets use YouTube live to stream? Perfectly clear . But I can't compare flotrack as I don't subscribe -
Agreed, Gault.
Hoppels year so far is reminding me of 2016 Clayton Murphy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he were to drop a low 1:43 once he’s in a big race.
Harris is gaining fitness, so I wouldn’t count him out yet, but between him and Hoppel I do think Hoppel is the clear favorite right now.
Murphy is who I’m really worried about, he’s been running well this season, but he doesn’t seem as sharp as usual. Hopefully it’s just the training load.
