Just like the old thread....as soon as you think this story has run its course it takes on a new surge.
How can it not go on when you have the likes of Ernest, jesseriley, doubler and triguru with their elaborate conspiracy theories.
The crazies are bringing it hard.
Not long ago, Meza sympathisers defended his record-setting efforts and attempted to squelch inquiry by ridiculing and shaming those who thought to challenge or investigate.
Despite this, Frank was eventually exposed for what he was - a methodical, long-time cheat.
Seems the "crazies" and "elaborate conspiracy theories" weren't.
Now, with posts like the one above (and worse), Meza sympathisers are still trying to sweep this under through bullying insult.
We've seen no honesty from Meza's family (and some of his camp), who still deny his cheating, who initially denied his suicide, and who now blame-shift that suicide as attributed to ruthless harassment by an "internet mob" (and not to Frank's long history of questionable actions), and who now seek some kind of legal redress.
Frank's running garnered many admirers and supporters; strangers, friends, training partners, co-workers, coaching subjects, and, foremost, his family. Some must have crowded course sidelines to spectate and cheer. And saw what? No one? Frank shuffle by in 8 to 9-minute miles? Frank on a bike? Frank off course?
Meza cheated in almost every race, cycling the course at times. Where did the bike(s) come from? How did they get there? Were they transported after? If bikes were being bought or moved, that might have required assistance, drawn attention, or seemed irregular.
Meza was married for something like 40-odd years. His wife must have known him inside and out.
Just as Meza's cheating itself once seemed improbable, let me suggest what should also be obvious; some close to Frank must have helped, known, or ought to have known.
It would seem more improbable they didn't than did.
