The health and length of this thread show this topic is still of public interest.
It's possible others assisted in or knew of Frank's cheating - or ought to have known. Maybe some of them post here. If so, I can see why there's effort to sweep this under the rug.
What message does being head-in-the-sand Ostriches send? We incentivize suicide? By then allowing bogus results to stand and by avoiding scrutiny as if taboo?
Disinformation? How about this...
"His wife eloquently spoke how his final weeks were a personal nightmare brought on by cyber bullying related to accusations brought about his participation in the LA Marathon. She said he died of a broken heart and the accusations were false. More importantly she stress that she wanted to engage the community to support her with the introduction of Frank’s law. Cyber bullying is not a crime but it’s harmful effects wrecks havoc on people’s lives."
This triggers a flurry of >15K in donations to help fund "Frank's law" - and this thread, similarly, has no shortage of apologists.
A few excerpts from recent posts in this this thread:
"too much negative energy here and too many new assholes who post bullshit"
"no longer a matter of public interest"
"unlikely other people assisted Meza with his cheating"
"don’t understand why these people just can’t let it go"
"you should seek counseling for your inability to let go of the past"
"hope you can work through your repressed guilt"
"Frank succumbed to online harassment"
"Why do you feel so much hatred for Meza's memory?"
So it's black and white?
Shut up and look the other way - or be branded a hateful cyberbully.
