No, she wasn't on the GBR team. AFD denotes her club - Aldershot, Farnham & District (the home of many of Britain's best distance runners!)
LOL, just seen a few others answered the AFD question before me.

It should be noted that it's only Steph Twell's 2nd 10,000 on the track (her first was 2 years ago) and McColgan's 3rd 10,000.
Steph is clearly benefiting from the marathon training!
Meanwhile the men are lolloping around outside 28 minute pace. What's wrong with them?!

Negative splits but you're right they blew a great chance of running a qualifier, given the female pbs.
Nobody strong enough to get the standard, I guess. But they ran a decent negative split with an exciting finish and the first at least sub 28. No the results don't seem to work

But Crippa ran 13:09 a month ago. He should have been well capable of it, even if no-one else was.
Who cares? We just saw 27:01 in Atlanta and the conditions looked horrible.
Just left the races. The men's 10k was run in a steady drizzle while the women's was mostly dry. The track was noticeably wet by the time the men finished.

To answer your question it rained throughout the race andthat scuppered any meaningful attempt to get the standard (pace makers only managed two km at that pace). All considered Crippa did more than well to run that time.
By the way the Wave Light Technology works like a charm. I am sure we'll see it everywhere soon

I also think Crippa could have done it. Apparently he did not dare trying it alone and the pacemaking had not been up to it either. Petros ran a huge PB, I did not expect him to break 28 and to stay with Crippa for so long. It would have been foolhardy for a 28:29 guy to go for 27:40 from the gun.
I think there is going to be at least one more decent 10000m race in Holland or Belgium, some might still get the standard there.
