This is real music. I have seen this movie several times. Anyone who has served has seen a completely different side of life than what I can relate to.
I'm posting this song again because I think it's a good song for mental health stigma.
The song talks about medications a little bit.
I have personal experience taking medications prescribed by doctors for depression.
I took some for years though ultimately realized I did not want to be on any.
As a matter of fact, when I was 27 and still living with my parents, my mother insisted I had to talk to a psychiatrist. This was not the last time I would see one. I still remember his name. Dr. Silverstein at the University of Alberta Hospital. He seemed somewhat normmal in my view. However, I distinctly remmeber him mentioning trouble with women in passing conversation. I thought about responding because I did have some views on that but decided to stay quiet.
Anyways I'm not particularly angry at Dr. Silverstein, he was just doing his job. However, when I mentioned I had a dream of a televsion screenplay, he basically said that was crazy and not possible and that I should look for a 'regular job'. This is basically what he said though not completely verbatim. He also prescribed an anti psychotic known as Seroquel which I took for six days before deciding it was not worth it to take osmethingthat literally takes my vibrancy away and makes me sleepy.
Now anyone with a dream will have to deal with situations, whether with family or doctors or whatever. No path is completely straight. My journey has been full of situations, problems, hurdles, people to deal with. But I have certainly persevered. There's one guy I've counted on throughout all of this and that's me.
Anyways here is the song. I think it's really special. I don't discount people who might take medications but am proud of myself that I don't take any.
Sounds, good, Greg. Powerful song, that packs a punch and gets the message across in no uncertain terms. I can see why you would like it.
Hang in there.

I know all of those except the Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett ones, and even those I might recognize but not by name.
Urgent by Foreigner really incredible song
And as said before their is no best song, best songs are a matter of opinion. In my world I think in terms of abundance, so any song can be the 'best song' It really is how you want to think about it
Great song that isn't necessarily about sex unless that's how you see it
