Emma Coburn's PR coming out of college was 9:28. Allie's is 9:31.
Allie's biggest issue now is speed. If the coaches at Brooks give her a lifting plan and work on her 800/1500 speed, she can be amazing at steeplechase. Allie has never fallen during a steeplechase - something that Coburn cannot say.
You can't criticize her performance at Pre - the race went out on world record pace. It's not fair to expect her to be able to do that. She still ran a big personal best time despite having to go out much faster than she should be going out. And for the record, she beat the girl that she has to compete with for the 4th spot on the World's Roster. So she's already a favorite for the world team in the steeple this year.
