As already stated, there are many benefits for going pro now, as her marketable is not going to increase next year; it can only decrease. At best, she wins NCAAs again but fails to PR until the summer racing season, as she is not going to go sub 9:30 without competition. If she wants to go pro, why wait until next year?
The reality is that a 9:30 steeper in the USA is still top tier, and even if she improves only a little each year, she will stay relevant enough to keep sponsors.
I do disagree with the people saying she has a shot at the world team this year, however.
