Woohoo! Thank you for posting. Now for who will be her coach... I’m guessing she either joins Emily and Molly under Ray, or the Bowerman ladies under Schumaker.

Who is going to sign a 9:30 steepler?

Not true. Do a search, rumor not fact Dweeb, I mean Dert.
Like Jordan, her best event will ultimately be the marathon, and it will take her 5 years to get there.

I think she would be a great match with Ray!
If she chooses to train under Ray that would be amazing

She is good at quite a few events. I see her doing 10000m and marathon over the steeple.

I wish her the best but her PR is about 50 seconds behind the WR. Would you be encouraging an 8:45 male steepler to go pro? She is basically the equivalent of an 8:45 steepler who would be gobbled up at NCAAs. Why should we be celebrating her going pro?
Who?
If an 8:45 male steepler had won 3 back to back NCAA titles, yeah, I would tell them to turn pro
She will be a sub 2:20 marathoner.

Perhaps you would like to list the men's steeple (2x) NCAA champions with a PR of 8:45?
I'm sure her first pro contract will pay her more than tuition and room and board at Boise State.
She nothing more to gain/prove at the NCAA level. The only thing college has left to give her is a degree and she can still get that after turning pro.
But she is only 30 s from the American record. Would you encourage an 8:30 male steepler (and 3x NCAA Champ) to go pro?
Chepkoech has run 14 seconds faster than the third fastest performer ever. 14 seconds back on the men's side ... is 8:07. How many men have run that?
She graduated in May with a degree in exercise science and a 4.0 GPA...
This was posted in another thread earlier this morning.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
