FFS, Do you think Obama, Bush, Clinton murdered any less??
Oh, right, THAT line of reasoning (straight from the Trump playbook). Nobody's evil, because everybody's evil when it comes down to it. Obama was just as bad as Stalin, right? There is no difference between Attila the Hun and Elizabeth Warren, right?
Look, I'm a naturalized American who thinks American history is largely a long series of travesties. I'm about as cynical regarding human nature as a person can get. But making Putin out to be a decent guy at the end of the day - no better or worse than anybody else - is idiotic.
The situation for Putin is completely different than for any American president. Russia requires a strong leader, and yes, somebody willing to have traitors and clear enemies of the State bumped off if necessary. Imagine if the USA had lost the Cold War, lost 30% of it's territory, become a lawless gangster's paradise as it lurched suddenly from 80 years of State Communism to a complete free market jungle with no regulations and foreign 'investors' descending upon it like a pack of wolves. The USA has no equivalent of the Southern Caucasus problem, which makes the US/Mexico border situation look like a cake walk. There is simply no way Russia could have a 'nice' virtue signalling liberal social democratic type leader like Tony Blair or Obama at this point or any time soon. Such a leader likely wouldn't survive long, and the chaos generated would produce something far worse than Putin.
Putin cares about his people. He's way more loved by his people than any Western leader is. Most of the people he has had murdered have been real traitors and in the pay of foreign enemies who would like to see Russia dismembered and turned into a tranny whore house. Meanwhile, Obama routinely had foreign enemies dispatched with drones and the like, while starting wars that have led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands and destabalized entire regions perhaps for centuries, whilst breeding the same environment in his own country and Europe by open doors policy to Third World migrants.
