Most Americans are soft. Don't have that problem with kids who grow up in the school of hard knocks life.

There are 10 official NOP members. 4 of them were either MIA or horrible today.
Murphy, not a good race.

Shannon Rowbury MIA.
Kejelcha - horrible.
1. Murphy is having a great season and had one bad race.
2. I could be wrong, didn't he race the 2 mile today?
3. First season back from PREGNANCY
4. I think it's fair that we can let them slide for this one. He's going to be one of the greatest distance runners of all time someday.
Hassan talent NOTHING. Her form is terrible to the point where her idea of a kick is to overstride, which got her pwned by Dibaba easily over 1500 this year.
But she can hold that low-cadence, loping pace of hers for crazy amounts of time, and the key to that is in the body fat, of which she has almost none, yet has normal energy levels instead of the burnout that normally results.
NOP and maybe Bowerman seem to have a trick to get away with crazy low body weight, it's probably legal, probably involves manipulating hormones besides T. It also doesn't quite show up on TV but is obvious in person. Remember the pictures Centrowitz took of his emaciated body a few months back? Hassan looked like a famine victim after her race today even in low definition.

lol whatever! It's all true.
Scorpion mate, juicing has proved extremely effective in the past, but I get what you are saying.
"The runner asked whether taking testosterone would cause a positive test, and recalls Myhre said: "No. No. No. We'll get you into the normal range." That's reassuring, for a moment there I thought they just admitted to cheating.

Their juicing is on another level.
And evidently protected by USADA/Nike/Coe.
Hassan seems to be blinking a lot in post race interview, more than normal ?

Sure they’re juicing, and so are a lot of other people. But the NOP has doping down to a science. Saladbar knows exactly how much drugs he can give without triggering a positive test result (by testing out AndroGel on his son and sending Rupp’s urine to the Mayo Clinic for testing).
Do you really think USADA would let him get away with this? ? Do you remember how USADA relentlessly dogged Armstrong for all those years gathering signed depositions from his former teammates and putting together a strong case that ended the Armstrong dynasty for good. USADA also slammed Marion Jones hard when they broke up and exposed the BALCO doping ring. I can't see USADA turning a blind eye to this when they showed no mercy for two hometown heros in Armstrong and Jones.
Yet there are lots of examples for USADA turning a blind eye:
They literally ignored Armstrong's well known doping until after his retirement, until the feds hand delivered the case. Jones was also not caught by USADA...
USADA also chose to not act on NOP using a forbidden method, instead of banning the cheats for four years each.
They also regarded Rollins' running away from the tester as inadvertently missing a test instead of banning her for four years.
They let Beef Wilson get away (even without testing the meat, just in case) and Kissing Roberts. And Gay got only one year because he implicated his coach Drummond, and Gatlin is still running sub-10s.
Conclusion: I am not impressed by USADA.
Kara Goucher, who trained under Salazar for many years said:
Kara acknowledges her first four years with the Salazar group brought about “the rebirth” of her career. In addition to her world championships medal, which marked a turning point for American distance running, she placed third at the New York City Marathon in 2008. Six months later she was third at the Boston Marathon.
But after giving birth to Colt in 2010, Kara says, Salazar gave her a thyroid medication called Cytomel to help her lose weight. She says she never took it, but she told USADA about it.
He is also known for injecting L-Carnitine in athletes, which according to Steve Magness who once tested it, has similar performance-enhancing effects like blood doping but is not a banned substance.
So while Salazar might not be doing anything illegal, he is certainly riding the threshold and using everything he can to improve the performance of his athletes. I'd say he is in a grey area right now.

performance enhancing effects like blood doping?
So what does that mean. Go one Phil, give me the usual blood boosting BS
But this time, explain to me why Lance Armstrong's power outputs had to be exaggerated by 10-15% to make the BS more believable?
Explain to me how blood boosting increases oxygen uptake without affecting thermoregulation?
Yeah, I know, Giant Strawman in the house, but give it your best shot anyway since you love to lecture us on all things fizzyillogical.

What Hassan doing is absolutely nuts! ..just nuts
- 1:56 800m
-3:55 1500m
-Sub 8:20 3000m
-third fastest women's mile
- 65 min half marathoner
And that skinny german chick is now a huge threat as well.
Iaaf should make public all the medical clearance those people have. From experience with cycling it would look like a very sick peleton, not worldclass elite sportguys. Same with the track and field. Full of 'legal' performance products, because of all their 'sicknesses'.

Salazar explained years ago. They do 2 fast workouts a week. Tuesday is shorter intervals like 200-600m. Friday is longer intervals (800m up to 1 mile) or tempo. Tuesday is usually 3-6k volume depending on the session. Friday is usually 8-12km volume depending on the session. Pace wise Tuesday can be anywhere from 400m (on the 200s) to 1500m pace. Friday is usually 5k-10km pace, but can get as fast as 3k pace for 800s or 1ks if there's sufficient recovery. For both days, recovery is usually 200 or 400m jog depending on the interval distance and purpose of the workout.
Very similar to JS system.
The only difference is that Salazar use an accrual arrangement and JS a linear system, and how they handle the recovery between intervals.
And Kejelcha had a bad day at the office.Even NOP has its downs….

Can you elaborate on this? I'm not familiar with this story.
Not a single post about their strength program? Or their sports psychology program? These guys have all bases covered, but personally the biggest factor why Mo, Hasan, KoKo, all skinny runners got so much better is from their unique lifting and movement program that McHenry has developed for them. Everyone runs a lot and workouts are similar, but the NOP is stronger and are more mentally prepared to always maximize their performances. The strength work is always why NOP runners seem to struggle a little the first year there, they are adapting to the added lifting. Once acclimated, they improve a lot, especially their last lap.

L-Carnitine isn’t illegal, but injections of it are not allowed in amounts over 50mL every six hours. When Sleazy Sal tested it out on Magness, he exceeded the legal amount, so I figure that’s what he’s doing with his athletes as well. And NOP isn’t just using L-Carnitine and thyroid meds. Rupp was on Pred and Testosterone when he was in high school, and they also use AndroGel. NOP isn’t just doing grey zone stuff. They’re doping.
