Paul Chelimo is BAAAAACK

Don't sleep on Chelimo in the 5,000m final at worlds. This guy is one of the most entertaining athletes to watch currently in distance events.

Also, if Barega had been of age during Farah's time Farah would not have the medals he currently has racked up. That dude loves to hammer.

But Barega went out way too fast, so he ran stupidly. I don't he runs like that at the WC

And king Yomif is just on another level right now.

I can see PC getting bronze, but Barega and Yomif would have to do something stupid to lose at the WC.

They ran an even/negative split with a 61ish second first lap. How is that considered going out to fast?

considering the heat. Barega should have saved some for the last lap. Dude died in the last lap. He was done. He totally died down the stretch ..that only happens when you are spent.

Or you could consider the possibility that they ran a perfectly paced race and Barega was beaten by two runners who were better at 2 miles, on this day.

Great race. Unfortunately it makes me think the 3k/5k is his best distance and he'll never be this competitive at the 10k or marathon

Hilariously, Barega was in his early 20s during Farah's reign. Just wasn't good enough or doped enough for the world stage yet.

Chelimo is or should be one of the biggest superstars in the sport right now. A charismatic American medal threat in nearly any distance event, a threat to win a race on any given day. Love watching him race.

Get off his noodles. He isn't that good especially right now. He was claiming to go after American record which as we saw was all talk. Also he lost to a half marathoner/XC guy in a 2 mile. That's not good man
