JS is on the premises. Meet starts at 8. Walked across the track and infield to get to seating and have not paid...yet...if applicable...
The turnout so far is...not bad...adequate.
Olivia baker wins women’s fast section of 800 in 2:01 low
San Ellison beats Isaiah Harris in men’s 8
Harris closed hard but didn’t start making a move until the final turn, needed to pick it up earlier and he probably would have gotten it.
Laura rose donegan gets world champs standard in women’s steeple!
Jordan Mann wins men’s steeple and mason Ferlic gets 2nd, both run world standard
Lauren Johnson wins the women’s 15 in 4:09:7x
Forgot the winner of men’s 15 but 3:39 x won, no us standards run
Robby Andrews a DNF in section 2
Wasn't this meet to be part of a small series? Are the others still happening?
I assume so since all mentioned groups on that circuit were in attendance to some degree. But there was no mention of the series at the event. There’s no way it was advertised either as the attendance was sub par. It seemed more like a glorified intra squad meet as previously mentioned to get some runners standards. You’d think the clubs would want to put in more advertising effort.
The meet series is the Eastern Track League (http://easterntrackleague.com/). Looks like one more meet in D.C. on July 13, w/ same mid-D events.
