Ian Sharman in 13th?!?! Not possible. He is not physically capable of finishing outside the top 10!
Why did he change shoes? Scott Jurek and Mike Morton never changed shoes at WS 100.
Ian Sharman...Ok?
We need Anton Krupicka and Kilian Jornet next year!

Wet shoes after the river crossing? A bit of a luxury and break at the same time. But giving up 2 minutes in a close race...um.

Will pay off the long run boys. Dry off those panties.
Anton Krupicka...You need to stop breaking down!
Anton Krupicka would slay it!
Camille Herron will retire.
Pre-race with Hazen:

Comparatively quiet and humble. Not the guy you want on your tail at the end of a race like this....

On a Mt. Bike maybe.
He probably doesn't know how slim the lead is, but with fresh shoes it may not matter as hazen will be in his waterlogged shoes the rest of the day. The mental lift from a fresh pair that far in a race is huge.
Anton Krupicka didn't change shoes at the WS.

Walmsley swapping shoes is odd. You should run in new shoes in a race. Shoes should at least some break in miles to make sure there is not some problem with them. It could also be that Walmsley is having some foot issues and thought swapping shoes was a good idea to fix the problem.
Irunfar reporting Courtney had an apparent limp at last aid station.

No. In his pre race interview he said he'd switch shoes because it feels good.
