Only 50% of your statement is correct.

Centro always takes it to an entirely different level when he is peaked and tapered. He seems to be right where he needs to be. Also, he has never been a time trialer. He is a guy who will smoke anyone in a kick in a slow race.
3.52. Heck of a rust buster after 11 months. World record for rust busters? Impressive.

And he wasn't really in it. A fast overall race (just a minute off his mile PR) and I don't think he had any plan to contend for the win. Give him some time and with health he's right back at being #1 in the world.

Nope - I am also a fan of both Matt and Kara.
And I'll go further: I am also a fan of Nick Symmonds. AND Justin Gatlin too. Take that.
Like father, Like suck.

Centro is clutch AF. Olympic gold medalist forever. Hes not a guy who consistently finishes top 3 in DL meets but he knows how to play his cards right and capitalize when it really matters. He performs well at the most important times, US champs, world and Olympic games. Like Kawhi Leonard says about the regular season, these are just practice meets. The Olympics is when it matters. The doping Kenyans and ethiopians are out chasing money and contracts and times and also can get scared when the big show comes around with regards to drug testing. They will roll on the DL but can not be counted on to be consistent (aside from a very select few) and medal when it counts.
That Olympic race was just dumb. Wasn’t the first lap like 75? All Centroids did is run in the front of a jog and sprint a 50 last lap. Good choice on his part but was the lamest 1500 I’ve ever seen.
yeah, but then why didn't Makhloufi, Kiprop, Willis, Souleiman, or Iguider catch him and outsprint him?! (blankenship was in there too)
Centro refused to give up the lead position and that was the difference. It was really smart despite the slow overall time. Makhloufi is a 1:42 800m guy. The others behind him were faster 1500m runners.
You don't understand.

Nope.
He did not lead from the start. And he did not lead here, and here, and here
What race were you dreaming about?

Skin cancer? Latent albinism? Obsessed with being as pale as possible? Do explain.
Being out in the sun too long — The feeling you can get after being out in the sun's rays for an excessive period of the time and you are exhausted for no other explainable reason.
No, he did not.

He led wire to wire.

What are you talking about? He went right to the front and answered every single move. I don't care what the time was, that was a great race on his part. To answer every surge and move as aggressively as he did and then still out kick some of the best kickers in the world is incredible. Not to mention he held that form for like 6 whole months, he was the world indoor champ that year too so its not like it was an accident. Also, anyone who talks sh!t about a dude with a 3:30 PR and a gold medal is an idiot.
You are wrong. Centro was passed several times. That means he DID NOT lead wire-to-wire.

The WR for rust buster would go to anyone of the people he lost to in that race.
