I’ve got the Fargo 1/2 in 8 weeks. I don’t fully believe that it’s going to happen, but I got a comp entry so if it’s canceled I’m not out of any money. I’m leaning toward a marathon TT in October now that Twin cities is officially canceled, but I’m not overly excited about it yet. It’s been crazy hot and humid here so I’m focusing on putting the minutes in and not worrying about paces. Here are my last 5 weeks. Body has been feeling great, mentally a little down about summer getting canceled.
Week 1: 73.3 miles
8x200m hills working down to mile effort
15 miles easy
Week 2: 74.16 miles
6x30sec on, 1:30 off
4x10min sub threshold, 4 min coast. 5:29 pace
Week 3: 76.06
10x800 w/1 min rest. 2:33 average
25 min hilly tempo. 5:24 pace
14 miles easy
Week 4: 87.62
20x400 w/45 sec rest. 72 average
July 4th solo 4 mile race: 19:58.3 (4:51,4:58, 5:05, 5:02). Measured it with a wheel after and the course was 15-20m long. Decent day but got really hot and faded after 2.5 miles. Probably got out a little quick.
Week 5: on pace for 80 miles (current week)
2x15min, 1x10min sub threshold. 5:40 average pace. Probably the hottest workout I’ve ever done so took it real easy.
7x1mile w/1 min rest. 5:26, 5:20, 5:23, 5:19, 5:21, 5:14, 5:13
