I only live 2 miles from work so it wouldn’t really add much mileage. Plus I wouldn’t be able to shower which is gross. I work 7-5 each day and the job is quite demanding the entire time. I do go home each day for an hr lunch break. Theoretically I could run during that, but I’m usually quite tired and starving at that point and really need the break to eat and relax. At best I could maybe get 3 miles in? It seems like too much to cram in, but I used to think waking up to run before work was impossible too.
Run to work 2 miles after your morning run, and home with a loop to give you 30 minutes and roughly 4.5 miles assuming your pace. You just added 32.5 miles a week to your training volume.
