as much of a right wing democrat as i am, i'd be a republican except that i'm gay and i don't think i'm the only one out there.
this is why i'm a pete booty butt up fan, because he's gay like me and he'd be a republican too except they're not as accepting of gays. i wouldn't like to vote for someone who's a true lib t'ard though because i just can't get around voting for 99 of americans instead of the top .1 percent, so if pete booty butt up is not the candidate then i'll probably end up voting for trump again.
Klobuchar or Warren...who'd you rather?

Trump doesn't try to appeal to the middle.
So, the middle may have to make a choice or let the party bases decide.
The bigger base wins.
And I don't see where Trump has been growing his base.
Whoever the Dem candidate will have 100% support for those who disapprove of Trump and his disapproval rate is over 50%.
Of course, he may not be on the ballot next November.
That is one area where DT is very weak, unlike other presidents he did not immediately start to work to increase his base, instead he's kept it right where it was. That could be his undoing, it's not like he won in a landslide last time.
I just wish the Dems had reacted with a more sane field. Heck Al Gore is like a dream right now. How difficult is it to beat Donald Freakin Trump??? Just be normal and sane and a lot of us in the middle will run to you, but when you start talking about confiscating guns, a wealth tax, a multiTrillion dollar take over of the healthcare industry that scares away those of us that are doing OK despite having a spoiled baby as POTUS.
You could seriously have a campaign of "Your daily life will remain exactly the same, but you won't hear about the president every hour of every day, I won't embarrass the US overseas, I won't be on twitter, and I won't pick childish fights with the press and minor celebrities."
THAT IS IT.
Well, Trump and the Republicans have set up the voters to go progressive.
We'll have Warren. And we'll have progress.
You've been living in denial as a Democrat. You need to become a Libertarian. We don't care what you do in your personal life, and it's okay for you to make money and not have the government take it away from you and spend it on a bunch of crap.

+100. You speak the truth.

You're opposing a wealth tax, and consider yourself to be sane?
More than 75 percent of Americans support having a wealth tax, so you are certainly not in the middle.
Also, more than 90 percent of Americans do NOT like the current healthcare monopolies.
Heck, if you're really that stupid, then just vote for Trump again.

Okay
I'm in favor of a wealth tax.
Why do you think a wealth tax is dumb? Are you a billionaire?
No democratic candidate is strong enough to go against donnie, they are bound to become his prey. donnie will ether them!

Oh look, they have money. Let’s take it.
A wealth tax is theft. It’s immoral.

That's exactly what they did to become billionaires. They stole it from everyone else.
Which was theft, immoral, and they need to give it back to the rest of us.
There should be no billionaires, especially when they're stealing from everyone else and making the whole country poor.

Is it more of a theft or more immoral than income taxes? The problem with a wealth tax is it's almost impossible to levy. Are you going to audit the assets of everyone every single year? It's a fvcking logistical nightmare. No one has brought that up yet, but it's obvious. A wealth tax would be impossible to implement.
I had to account for all my assets during my divorce. There was a ton of fighting over the value of certain assets, and just rounding up all the information on all my accounts and assets took a ton of time. If you want your tax filing to be like a divorce every year, support Warren and Bernie. As usual, big, impractical ideas. Just like their healthcare plans.
And if you don't think the wealthy will hire the best attorneys to hide most of their wealth, you are a fool.
A third grader could point out the obvious flaws in every Bernie and Warren proposal.
I respect that they have ideals they are shooting for, but if they don't have a plan to reach that ideal, then it's worthless. And if they are unwilling to compromise to get closer to their ideal, but not all the way there, then they are bad leaders.
Bernie and Warren will never win in the US because they want to be our parents. They want to take decisions away from us, like health insurance, because they think they know better how to spend your money. It never works out. That's why I can't support them, but I can support moderates that want to increase options, by allowing people to buy in to Medicare if they want.
I support Warren and I think she will probably win the whole thing.
I think we can move, over time, to where the majority of Americans will be using some kind of single payer healthcare insurance.
I agree with you that a wealth tax will not happen.
You can’t pin down a value and most wealth is not in cash.
Actually a lot of people’s wealth is part of US debt. The wealthy lend money to the government. To tax them on the money they handed over would be weird.
You can reverse a lot of corporate tax breaks to raise money.
There is a lot of cash sitting around on balance sheets all over the country.

It's easy to make up stats on the internet.
Now that is something that is 100% true.

That field is weak. How they couldn't come up with at least one strong candidate to take on Trump is beyond me. It's not like you are challenging a popular president, heck he's not even that popular in his own political party.
